Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation for accuracy
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software to track inventory movements and update records
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring proper packaging materials are used to prevent damage during transit
- Pick, pack, and organize orders efficiently for timely dispatch, supporting order fulfillment processes including e-commerce orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records within systems like AS400 or other warehouse distribution software
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment to support seamless warehouse operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse environments with a focus on shipping & receiving, order picking, and load & unload activities
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating reach trucks or similar equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or MRP software for inventory control
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and packaging standards
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment safely
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management
