High-Rise Handyman – Ottawa, ON

Battalia Workforce is currently hiring an experienced Handyman for a high-rise construction project in Ottawa. We are staffing for a very reputable construction developer in Ottawa. We are looking for a versatile, skilled individual with strong experience in both rough construction and finishing work.
The ideal candidate is a true all-around handyman who can work throughout the entire construction process, from the early stages of a project through to final completion and deficiency work.
Responsibilities
- Perform general handyman and construction duties throughout the project
- Assist with rough construction, framing, drywall, and repairs
- Complete finishing work including trim, baseboards, doors, hardware, and touch-ups
- Complete deficiencies, repairs, and final finishing work
- Perform various carpentry and general construction tasks
- Assist other trades when required
- Read basic plans, measurements, and project instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Identify and resolve minor construction issues independently
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in handyman, carpentry, or general construction
- Strong knowledge of both rough and finishing construction
- Understands PDI and Prep Work
- High-rise or residential construction experience is an asset
- Proficient with common hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and practical skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
