RelyOn Canada is currently seeking applications for an experienced Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager to support our Dartmouth training facility. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing strong leadership within an integrated team, and consistently demonstrating a high standard of professionalism and judgment across all levels of the organization. Please note this is not an entry-level position.
Major Duties
- Oversees the HSEQ requirements for all operating centers (NS and NL)
- First point of contact for all HSEQ queries, both locally (ROC) and globally (RO)
- Ensure organization of up-to-date approval certificates, accreditations, 3rd party vendors' qualifications, quality registrations, and compliance certificates/reports (e.g., OPITO, Transport Canada, ISO)
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) by streamlining processes, eliminating redundancies, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Incident management
- Risk management and hazard identification & control
- Audit management - conduct regular site and course audits
- Oversee the Management of Change process, ensuring changes that affect any operating centers are communicated and followed up on
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing regular reports with statistical information (i.e., Key Performance Indicators & OH&S trends) to Senior Management
Essential Qualifications
- University Degree, College Diploma, or Certificate in Quality Management or Occupational Health & Safety
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HSEQ management platforms.
- Able to excel in a high-growth environment with tight timelines and changing priorities
- Customer service-oriented
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and self-sufficient
