Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing transactions, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Prior experience in food and beverage service, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting, is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, handling cash transactions accurately, and providing exceptional service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Take customer orders with professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills
- Ensure responsible serving practices by monitoring guest alcohol consumption and adhering to legal requirements
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist in inventory management
- Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business and positive reviews
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage preparation
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless food service experiences
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering software
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs effectively
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently
- Experience in hospitality environments demonstrating strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- If speak Spanish is a plus
