Position: Audio Operator, Unifor Local 723m (Group E)
Location: Bell Media Inc. – 299 Queen St W, Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 18 month contract, 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. Weekend & shift work as required.Primarily early morning call times.
Operating front of house production audio consoles and devices for multiple media productions. This includes supporting musical guests for Bell Media productions.
Assign and position microphones, IFBS and additional audio support devices on guests and talent with thorough thought into the production requirements.
Maintaining operational equipment by sharing knowledge and experience with engineering groups, audio department and management.
Partnering with production groups to provide them with a high quality product. Being forward facing to our guests.
Previous operational experience with various audio front of house consoles in different scenarios.
Experienced with RF technology used for audio production.
Familiarity with Audio-Over-IP technologies and formats.
Self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to work without supervision.
The ability to troubleshoot software and hardware malfunctions.
The ability to communicate ideas and vital project related information to others.
Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment and collaborate with all facets of media production.
Ability to converse on par with outside suppliers, sound companies, musicians, band management when it comes to discussing technical audio requirements.
5-7 years’ experience in audio production in media.
A post-secondary degree in media production and/or audio operations is an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
