Are you a technical estimating expert with a passion for leading people? Epic Group of Companies, is looking for a Sales Manager to lead our residential estimating team. In this role, you aren’t just managing spreadsheets, you are the bridge between a homeowner’s needs and a successfully executed project.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor: Recruit, onboard, and coach a high-performing estimating team. You will foster a culture of accountability, professional development, and pride in workmanship.
- Technical Excellence: Build and oversee detailed estimates using Xactimate, ensuring all quotes align with insurance guidelines and company profitability goals.
- Drive Sales Strategy: Partner with the General Manager to align estimating practices with sales targets, managing the lifecycle from the initial quote to the signed contract.
- Seamless Transitions: Ensure "hand-off" excellence by creating comprehensive work orders and supporting Project Managers as jobs move from sale to installation.
- Process Optimization: Identify ways to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and utilize data to improve our competitive edge in the Calgary market.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a key point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and industry partners, ensuring every interaction reflects Meerkat’s reputation for excellence.
Skills & Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: 3+ years of experience in roofing, siding, and exteriors (field or sales/estimating background).
- Xactimate: Expert-level proficiency in Xactimate is required.
- Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to manage a team and handle high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Safety Conscious: Strong understanding of Alberta OH&S protocols and WCB standards.
- The Basics: Valid driver’s licence and the ability to conduct site inspections (climbing ladders/navigating roofs).
