Support Worker, Assisted Living, 2 Vacancies, Casual Employment, $24.56 - $25.82/hour Employee Assistance Program, Optional HOOPP (Pension) Participation
Our Support Workers provide daily living support to eligible Assisted Living clients in Dutton, West Lorne, and surrounding communities. This crucial support assists clients with personal daily living activities such as personal care, light housekeeping, laundry services, medication reminders, security checks, and social support.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Personal Support Worker, Developmental Services Worker certificate or equivalent required. Nursing students are also invited to apply.
- Current CPR/1st Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain required.
- Experience providing services to seniors/adults with disabilities in their home and previous support to dementia clients an asset.
- An appreciation of living in rural communities, excellent communication skills, collaborative, compassionate, respectful, equitable, and accountable.
- Computer proficiency and previous EMR experience an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, afternoons, weekends, statutory holidays, and call-in shifts.
- Ability to travel within the Centre’s service area attending client appointments where public transportation may not exist or may not be available in the hours when service is required. Access to a reliable vehicle while at work required.
- Confirmation of education and a satisfactory vulnerable sector check required.
