Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and reliable Batch Maker to join our food production team.
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, weighing, mixing, and preparing product batches according to established recipes, formulas, and production procedures. You will play an important role in maintaining product quality while following strict food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, pays close attention to detail, and can follow recipes and production instructions accurately.
Responsibilities
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to specified recipes, formulas, and production requirements.
- Mix and prepare product batches while following established production procedures.
- Operate batch processing and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor batches to ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy throughout the production process.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas according to company standards.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate ingredient measurements and quantities.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Identify and report equipment issues, product quality concerns, or production discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with packaging and other production activities as required.
- Operate forklifts or other production equipment as required and when properly trained.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient production operations and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, batch making, or a similar production environment is preferred.
- Experience measuring, weighing, mixing, or preparing ingredients is an asset.
- Familiarity with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and quality standards is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, formulas, and production instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills and the ability to work with measurements and quantities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify minor equipment issues is an asset.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a reliable, positive work ethic.
