The What...
As a General Manager for Splitsville, you will be responsible for running one of our busy centres. You will create a safe, fun, and vibrant environment for your team and guests.
You will enjoy the freedom to make a real impact driving the financial and commercial performance of your business, across all four revenue streams; the bar, diner, amusements and bowling. You will be fully accountable for delivering all areas of your budget and KPIs, driving the profit performance of your centre and have the opportunity to share in the success.
Within our fast-paced, dynamic world, General Managers coach, lead, motivate and inspire team to deliver outstanding service that delights our guests and keeps them coming back for more.
Team
- Motivate and coach team members, team leaders and managers
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding and development of the team, including team leaders and managers
- Support team performance and identify recruitment, coaching and training needs
- Set clear priorities, assign responsibilities and ensure effective follow-through
- Provide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shifts as appropriate
Service
- Establish standards for guest service within the centre
- Build respectful, positive relationships with guests and fellow team members
- Resolve guest and team member concerns promptly and professionally
Operations
- Lead and coordinate all centre teams and operations
- Work closely with the management team to ensure that the centre is functioning in all capacities
- Work closely with the Maintenance Operations Supervisor to maintain the centre to a high standard
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures including all health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all company systems and checklists are completed consistently
- Other duties as required
Financials
- Develop operational plans and budgets
- Create sales and marketing plans aligned with Support Office strategies
- Review cost of goods, weekly performance and monthly P&L statements
- Work closely with the management team to achieve revenue goals and deliver budget expectations
- Work closely with the Event Sales Manager to grow revenue and repeat business
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competition)
- Create action plans and reports for head office management
To be successful, you should have:
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Centre Manager or in a comparable senior leadership role
- Experience managing a budget of at least $8M annually
- Valid Serve It Right Saskatchewan (SIRS) and Food Handlers Certificate
- Commercially savvy with ability to drive results through the team
- Exceptional people and guest service skills
- Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
- Resilience, flexibility, and adaptability, to fit in with our fast-paced environment
- Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude
- A passion for people, with evidence of coaching, developing, and progressing your team
