The Fort Museum of the North West Mounted Police and First Nations Interpretive Centre has a Collections Assistant Internship position available. This position is funded in part by the Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage Internship Program. Therefore applicants must be college or university graduates and Canadian citizens between 16 and 30 years of age. The Collections Assistant will assist the Collections Manager with both daily and project-specific activities, including collections management, basic preventative conservation, exhibit research and production, research inquiries, and artifact documentation, care, and handling. If you are a reliable and flexible team player who enjoys working with and learning about history, this position may be the opportunity for you! Museum experience or education is considered an asset. This is a paid internship from November 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 for 35 hours per week at $15.50 per hour.
