Job Description
Responsible for optimum delivery of customer requirements and act as liaison with manufacturing and shipping to ensure the same. Responsible for order entry, EDI monitoring and analysis. Must be able to communicate clearly and consistently with the customer, sub-suppliers and internal departments.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate on a regular basis with assigned customers to ensure optimum delivery performance. Direct inquiries to the appropriate departments where necessary.
- Liaison with scheduling, manufacturing and setup to ensure delivery requirements are met.
- Knowledge of outside service contractors and update customer requirements. Must conduct daily communication with shipping / receiving to ensure optimum delivery performance.
- Responsible for order entry via EDI weekly. Maintain Future3 Releasing System and checking integrity of incoming and outgoing data. Update customer records and ensure accuracy of information for entry into JD Edwards
- Conduct EDI requirements and reconciliation of cumulative year to date discrepancies.
- Responsible for preparation of daily ship lists, containment requirements or other supplementary internal documents required to assist with on time delivery.
- Assist with shipping applications, carrier information, POD and International Customs.
- Responsible for collection of supporting documentation related to corrective action on missed shipments.
- Responsible for the collection of data, preparation and maintenance of premium freight trackers
- Should have knowledge of pricing and price list assignments and updating of same as required. Monitor special pricing and purchase orders as well as adhere to customer invoicing requirements.
- Participate in all physical inventories as required.
- Maintain and encourage a safe work environment and good housekeeping.
- Associate adheres to all Management Systems, ie. Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental
- Work as a Team Member in all situations. (Act as back up for other members of materials team as required)
- Responsible for daily monitoring and updating of Customer Portals.
- EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma
Two Years Post Secondary Education preferred (College Level).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Imperative that the incumbent have excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally.
- Minimum three years experience in Customer Service
- Experience with EDI and MRP
- Purchasing & Scheduling Experience
- Excellent Computer skills. Familiarity with spreadsheet software in a windows environment.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment related to the automotive and heavy truck industry preferred.
- Have the ability to work in a fast past environment and deal with stressful situations, to prioritize and to function in an industrial environment.
- The general job duties are somewhat standardized.
- Must have a good understanding of Inventory Control and the impact this function has on the end result. Must be flexible and able to deal with altering priorities
- Future 3 is an asset
