Job Overview
Are you an Occupational Therapist doing PTSD or WorkSafeBC work and wishing you had more clinical autonomy, stronger interdisciplinary collaboration, and a team that genuinely supports professional growth?
We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary PTSD program, working primarily with clients experiencing trauma-related conditions. This role is ideal for an OT with experience with WorkSafeBC and a passion for trauma-informed practice. Depending on your location and interest, there may also be opportunities for community-based OT work.
What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
- Clinical Care: Deliver occupational therapy services within an interdisciplinary intensive PTSD treatment program.
- Trauma Support: Work closely with clients experiencing trauma-related conditions.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Apply evidence-based interventions, including in-vivo and imaginal exposure therapy.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a mental health provider to support client recovery and return to work.
- Documentation: Complete clinical documentation and reports.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Licensure: Registered Occupational Therapist / eligible for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- WSBC Experience: Experience working with WorkSafeBC (WSBC) claims.
- Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills in trauma-informed care and PTSD treatment, with training or experience in exposure therapy.
- Communication: Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously, with good time management and organizational skills.
- Mindset: A sense of curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in professional growth.
