In this energetic role, you will be responsible for carefully harvesting high-quality mushrooms in a fast-paced environment. Your keen eye for detail and physical stamina will ensure we deliver premium produce to our customers. Responsibilities
- Carefully select and harvest mature mushrooms, ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the harvesting area to promote safety and efficiency
- Use hand tools and farm machinery safely to assist with mushroom collection and handling
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as harvest carts, bins, and small power tools
- Assist with irrigation systems to ensure optimal moisture levels for mushroom growth
- Conduct basic math calculations for inventory tracking and quality control purposes
- Lift heavy loads safely during the collection, packing, and transportation of mushrooms
Skills
- Pick mushrooms
- Sort, weigh, and pack mushrooms at the farm
- Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies, and products for transport
- Clean up racks, trays, and harvest bins and general clean-up of growing, producing and packing areas
