Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Labourer to join our team. Your dedication to this postion would lead to an apprenticeship within 6 months. Variable hours for now from 30-40hrs per week as needed. This role involves assisting with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks in and around the central and north Simcoe County area .
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a sincere drive to learn the trade of plumbing, and an interest in building trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the plumbing and construction industry, supporting the development of technical skills and knowledge.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential systems according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
- Support carpentry, HVAC, and general construction tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols

Requirements
- Prior construction experience or related trade exposure preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plumbing systems is highly desirable
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading preferred
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on-site
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
