Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Shop General Help to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various machining and fabrication processes within our shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine operation, be detail-oriented, and possess a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- General Housekeeping, sweeping shop floor, garbage, cleaning shop washroom and lunchroom
- Daily machine routine maintenance, changing filters as needed, checking coolant levels and filling oil as needed.
- Participate in various tasks as needed, deburring parts and weldments, prep parts for painting and painting as needed.
- Help with inventory management within the warehouse, including the movement of materials.
- Other duties as assigned by shop supervisor
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to fabrication and machining.
- Previous experience in a machine shop or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Forklift experience desirable
- Comfortable working in a physical challenging enviroment
- Basic tool knowledge
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Ability to manage time, stay organized, work under pressure and show initiative
- Ability to speak and read English
- Must have own transportation (no local transit in area)

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
