Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly and efficient environment. This role involves performing dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various dental procedures. Experience with Akitu One, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued. Bilingual skills and background in dental assisting or medical terminology are considered advantageous. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing of patients’ teeth
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Manage patient scheduling, recall appointments, and follow-up communications
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Experience with Akitu One or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations
- Previous experience in dental assisting or a clinical setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
