Coronation Dental Specialty Group (CDSG) is a leading provider of specialized dental care, offering advanced treatment in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Endodontics, Oral Pathology and Anesthesia. For more than 50 years, we have proudly served patients and referring dental professionals throughout Southwestern Ontario, with locations in Cambridge, Waterloo, Woodstock, Stratford, Goderich, Brantford and Guelph.
We are currently looking for an energetic, personable and professional Patient Care Coordinator to join our team, working primarily from our Cambridge location.
Our Patient Care Coordinators play an important role in the patient experience. From the first phone call through treatment and follow-up, you will help ensure our patients feel welcomed, informed and well cared for.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized and confident working in a busy healthcare environment. You should enjoy working with people, have excellent communication skills and be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
- Schedule and coordinate patient consultations, procedures and follow-up appointments.
- Communicate appointment and treatment information clearly and professionally with patients.
- Receive, prepare and send correspondence and email communications.
- Accurately process patient payments and assist patients with insurance claims and pre-determinations.
- Maintain accurate, complete and organized patient records.
- Communicate professionally with referring dental offices and other healthcare providers.
- Assist with the day-to-day administrative needs of the practice.
- Work collaboratively with our clinical, administrative and physician teams to provide an exceptional patient experience.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of administrative, reception or customer service experience preferred; experience in a dental or healthcare environment is an asset.
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professionalism, discretion and a strong understanding of patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility to travel between CDSG office locations when required.
- BLS, HARP, WHMIS and/or IPAC certification would be considered an asset.
