The Plant Foreman oversees all operations of the asphalt plant to include the manufacturing of hot mix asphalt and the plant loadout process. Duties include maintaining inventory, materials, information systems, and plant equipment. This person should make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. This individual will need to be familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures of hot mix asphalt laydown. The plant foreman will need to be able to perform and/or oversee a variety of complicated tasks such as major maintenance and repair of the asphalt plant and related equipment.
Supervise and schedule a crew of 2-6 employees.
Communicate with customers, field crews, aggregate sales, quality control personnel, and vendors to facilitate a safe and efficient workplace.
Perform daily supervision of personnel and equipment.
Ensure a quality product is produced in a timely manner and with minimum waste.
Be knowledgeable of proper asphalt production.
Be knowledgeable of equipment associated with asphalt production and the maintenance of the equipment.
Keep daily cost records, quantities, and employee time records.
Health and Safety:
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety and environmental policies in all work environment areas.

Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety rules and country regulations.
Conduct daily and weekly Safety meetings and inspections with crews.
Monitor SiteDocs (electronic safety platform) to ensure accountabilities are being completed.
Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Basic computer knowledge.
Class 3 with air preferred
Loader experience an asset
Working hours as required
Weekend work may apply
Welding experience is an asset
Good communication skills.
Must have strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
Must be willing and able to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary (remunerated accordingly).
Capable of multi-tasking and managing priorities.
Three or more years of asphalt plant operations experience is preferred, or equivalent leadership in a leadership role.
