About the Rath Eastlink Community Centre
The Rath Eastlink Community Centre (RECC) was built by the community to inspire healthy, active living for people of all ages.
As one of Nova Scotia's premier recreation facilities, the RECC offers an Aquatics Centre with two pools and a 2.5-storey waterslide, a fully equipped fitness centre and studio, an Athletic Development Centre, a 35-foot indoor rock climbing wall, an NHL-sized ice pad with 2,500 spectator seats, an in-house food and beverage provider, and a free walking/jogging track.
With something for everyone, the RECC is committed to promoting health, wellness, and meaningful community connections.
Group Exercise Instructor
The RECC is currently looking for certified Group Exercise Instructors to join our team and help expand and elevate our group fitness offerings.
We’re seeking energetic, motivated, and passionate fitness professionals who enjoy creating engaging, inclusive, and welcoming experiences for participants. Successful instructors will be able to connect with a wide range of participants, deliver safe and effective instruction, and ensure everyone feels supported and included.
We are particularly interested in instructors who can teach:
- Group Exercise
- Spin / Indoor Cycling
- Functional Fitness / Boot Camp-Style Training
- Yoga and/or Mobility
- Zumba
- POUND
- Pilates
We’re also interested in hearing from instructors who bring other specialized skills, certifications, or unique class formats that could enhance the RECC’s group fitness program. If you have a class concept, specialty, or area of expertise that you think would be a great fit for our community, we want to hear from you!
This is an opportunity to bring your own expertise and personality to our current group fitness roster while helping us provide a diverse range of classes and experiences for our participants.

Ideal candidates will:
- Hold a current certification relevant to the classes they teach.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated.
- Have a genuine passion for fitness and helping others.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all fitness levels.
- Be confident engaging and motivating groups.
- Prioritize participant safety and provide appropriate modifications when needed.
- Bring their own personality, expertise, and style to their classes.
- Be willing to contribute new ideas and help grow the RECC’s group fitness offerings.

Employment Requirements
Current Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks are mandatory conditions of employment with the RECC. These checks must be completed and submitted before any training begins.
Wage offered will be based on previous experience and level of training and/or certifications.
