Early Childhood Educator (ECE-IT)
Sprout & Shine Academy is hiring passionate, qualified, and experienced Early Childhood Educators (ECE-IT) to join our growing team.
We are a purpose-built, Montessori-inspired childcare centre committed to providing high-quality care in a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our programs focus on child-led learning, school readiness, creativity, language development, and social-emotional growth.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and Montessori-inspired learning environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
- Use positive guidance strategies to support children’s behaviour, emotional regulation, and social growth.
- Maintain daily health, safety, supervision, cleanliness, and licensing standards at all times.
- Observe children’s progress and complete required documentation, reports, and daily records.
- Build positive relationships with families through clear, professional communication regarding their child’s progress, behaviour, and individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging activities, share best practices, and deliver a consistent and high-quality program.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
- Uphold professionalism and represent Sprout & Shine Academy with warmth, care, and positivity.
- Provide responsive care for infants and toddlers, including routines, milestones, and sensory development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid BC ECE-IT License to Practice
- Current Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience in licensed childcare or early childhood settings preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong asset
- Knowledge of childcare principles and early learning frameworks
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide young learners positively
- Strong written communication skills for documentation and parent communication
- Proficiency with computers and educational software for lesson planning and record keeping
- Reliable, caring, team-oriented, and professional demeanor
