Job Description:
We are seeking an Architectural Technician to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be working in CAD to create detailed heavy timber building modelling and architectural drawings. Enjoy a 32 hour compressed work week (Monday - Thursday).
Duties Include:
- use CAD software to create technically detailed 3D timber and building modelling
- Utilize CADWORK software for detailed drafting and design work
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings for construction
- Collaborate with in-house design team to produce detailed timber frame construction drawings for shop fabrication
- Support design and shop teams to coordinate project details
Job Qualifications:
- Architectural technology diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in CAD software ( Auto Cad, Revit. Sketchup, Cadwork)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Knowledge of building assemblies, codes and regulations
- min 5 years experience in all phases of design and construction processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
