Position Overview:

This position will support the accounting group by: analyzing, managing, documenting, and validating business requirements, process maps and business cases. Provide technical support in trouble shooting technical difficulties in specific systems. Support effective identification, assessment, prioritization and resolution of requests for bugfixes/enhancements This position will be reporting to the Manager, Information Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in trouble shooting technical difficulties encountered by operations staff, specifically in MRI
  • Assist in the preparation of various business reports for Midwest accounting and other departments
  • Provide support to rest of IT team in providing customer service and technology support to the entire organization
  • Elicit, analyze, manage, document, and validate business requirements, process maps, use cases
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement within the system and recommend viable solutions to improve workflows, report preparation and relevant business processes
  • Facilitate, document and execute user acceptance scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, track issues, report status
  • Create and update training materials, deliver training, and report on training results
  • Document data requirements; perform business verification of data conversion activities
  • Participate in pilots and rollouts and assist IT team while a member is on vacation
  • Support effective identification, assessment, prioritization and resolution of requests for bugfixes/enhancements
  • Understand and support inter-system data quality issues, working with end users and technical teams to resolve these issues and their underlying causes
  • Employ techniques to maximize system adoption and buy-in
  • Support end users, troubleshoot issues, and streamline service delivery
  • Develop and deliver communications within the organization

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a similar or related capacity
  • A diploma or degree in information management, information technology, business administration, or computing science, along with 4 years of related experience. We will consider a candidate with intermediate level experience and is actively acquiring higher-level knowledge and BA skills through education and training
  • Knowledge and practical experience with software implementations, software development life cycle methodologies, business process re-engineering, and organizational change management
  • Previous business management experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, organized, and high-attention to detail
  • Able to work independently but must initiate collaboration and team work as needed
  • Ability to manage a small project and coordinate with various staff coming from different disciplines
  • Ability to assess impacts, make recommendations and integrate changes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with MRI or similar industry software would be an asset
  • Honesty, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
