Summary
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for managing and ensuring all products, from raw materials to finished components, meet stringent quality standards. This includes overseeing quality control procedures, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific certifications and customer requirements. The Quality Coordinator works closely with production, engineering, safety, and management teams to drive quality across all aspects of the organization.
Job Responsibilities and Duties

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, audits, and test results (ISO9001:2015 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018).

Ensure compliance with the quality program and work in conjunction with the safety coordinator to ensure alignment with environmental, health, and safety programs.

Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness and managing non-conformances.

Prepare non-conformance reports and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Identify root causes of defects and lead efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Provide regular reports on quality metrics, including defect rates, rework levels, and scrap rates.

Complete internal and external quality audits and prepare reports to address findings.

Collaborate with production teams to implement and improve quality control processes.

Work with customers on quality concerns and warranty claims, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure that incoming materials meet standards.

Train and support production staff on quality procedures, ensuring that quality control measures are understood and followed.

Lead initiatives to raise quality awareness and foster a culture of continuous improvement in the shop.

Conduct ISO training for new employees.

Other tasks as required.
Requirements

High School Diploma required. Post-secondary education is considered an asset.

Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Quality Management Certification or related experience an asset.

Lead Auditor ISO certification required.

Proven experience with quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and lean manufacturing principles.

Proficiency in inspection tools, gauges, and measurement instruments.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components an asset.

High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Highly motivated, self-directed, capable multi-tasker, flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
