Our rapidly expanding team at SGS Nutrasource is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting in a full time role, leading our finance and accounting department. The role will report into both Nutrasource and SGS, with many opportunities in leading the unit through acquisitions, integrations and day to day financial responsibilities.
Job Description
- Leads businesses accounting and finance operation for the SGS Nutrasource business unit.
- Responsible, with the Business Controller designated for the business, for overall internal financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, payments and cash management, as well as the development or adherence to the Country/Regional policies and procedures.
- Ensures company accounting procedures conform to the SGS Group Financial Manual.
- Assists the Business Controller in partnering with the business by providing support on capital investments, pricing, net working capital management and various business plans/initiatives to improve financial performance.
- Ensures the accurate, complete and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of the books for the assigned business unit.
- Responsible for working capital i.e., cashflow forecasts and AR management.
- Assists in expediting employee expenses and completes allocation of expenses.
- Coordinates and directs the preparation of the business unit’s budgets and financial forecasts and reporting of variances.
- Generates and presents financial reports to include, but not be limited to, the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
- Lead integration and management of Oracle software.
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
- Manage and lead the Finance Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- 5+ years of relevant Finance and Accounting experience.
- Experience in financial reporting and intimate understanding of GAAP.
- Experience in financial/KPI monitoring, with the ability to explain variance to target and implement ‘early warning’ indicator for adverse trends.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an asset.
- MS Office Excel.
- Well-versed in financial systems (Oracle, etc.).
