Junior Helpdesk Support Analyst

We are looking for a Junior Helpdesk Support person to join our IT Team. Your role will be to support Bird Stairs staff members in the smooth and reliable operation of our IT systems from desktop to backend. You will be responsible for responding to and resolving support issues as well as computer setup and deployment. As a member of the IT team you will work closely with the Director of Information Technology to plan and execute larger project-based IT initiatives.
Troubleshoot network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services.
Support end user devices (desktops, notebooks, tablets, etc.) and work with third party vendors.
Professionally respond to telephone calls, emails, and web-based service support requests.
Document and prioritize trouble tickets and technical issues on customer accounts
Responsible for keeping internal documentation clear and up to date.
Participate in installations and upgrades, sometimes outside regular business hours
Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.
On your resume clearly demonstrate the following qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in an IT related field
Experience utilizing computer and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
Basic networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Basic knowledge of security technologies such as Firewall and Antivirus
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Previous customer service experience is an asset
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
