The shop labourer is responsible for all labour duties in the shop and the yard including loading and unloading of delivery trucks, customer vehicles as well as maintaining the inventory in the yard. They are expected to be punctual and reliable, as well as professional in appearance and courteous to all customers, suppliers, and fellow staff.
· Adhere to all safety rules and requirements.
· Wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company policy.
· Order Picking (Beams, Posts, Rebar, angle iron, etc.)
· Moving of raw materials, finished products, scrap and general materials manually or using forklift or other powered equipment
· Responsible for housekeeping, cleanup of all machines and work areas.
· Maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they are in a clean, safe, and working order.
· Interact respectfully, build relationships, and demonstrate a high level of cooperation.
· Maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Re-skidding/stacking picked through materials
· Labelling and pricing of products
· Load/unload trucks as needed
· Collect and sign all paperwork (BOL, Invoices etc.) and return to the shipping office
· Customer Service (assisting with loading of vehicles and locating products
· Assist with material handling using forklifts and through manual labour.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, appropriate attire, grooming and attendance.
· Follow instructions, maintain timelines and execute effective time management
· Lift, slide, carry and lower items that weigh up to 50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
· Available to work night shift which includes night shift premium for all eligible hours worked
· Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch and company success

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
