Elgin Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team in a part-time role.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical procedures
- Performing laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, radiology and other diagnostic procedures
- Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Collecting and processing samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for laboratory analysis
- Maintaining accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Providing client education on animal health, nutrition, and post-treatment care
- Caring for hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments
- Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and treatment areas
We're looking for someone who:
- Is a Registered Veterinary Technician (or eligible for registration in Ontario)
- Has strong laboratory and diagnostic skills
- Has a solid understanding of veterinary medical procedures and animal handling techniques
- Has excellent communication and organizational skills
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Is compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Is committed to providing outstanding patient and client care
- Prior experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed

Position:
Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Hours: Approximately 22 hours/week
Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
