RN/RPN
Rural Home Care is a private home care company supporting seniors, adults, children, persons with Alzheimer's disease, persons with mental health disabilities, persons with intellectual disabilities, females, males, persons with a disability in Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth and Wellington counties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Nursing care that is within the provincial scope of practice for a RN/RPN
- Provide Catheter care and changes
- Be willing to preform PSW duties, in addition to Nursing care.
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist with regular exercises
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Provide Companionship
- Observe and document client conditions according to company standards; report unusual events or changes in the client’s condition to the Office
- Understands and implements infection prevention practices
- Adhere to Rural Home Care Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and discuss only with appropriate personnel.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to stand, bend, squat and kneel
- Able to lift between 45-60 kg; able to assist clients with standing, walking, sitting and rolling in bed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions as related to client care
- Ability to travel locally from client to client
Certificates, licences and courses
- CPR course
- First Aid Certificate
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Registered with the CNO and in good standing
- Must have driver's license and reliable vehicle to commute within rural areas

Pay: $36.00-$37.00 per hour
