Established in 2012, Recon Metal is a leading scrap metal processing facility in Alberta with a commitment to safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility. We offer full-service scrap metal collection, including bin placement, scheduled and on-call pickup, and processing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. We work with machine shops, fabricators, auto recyclers, HVAC contractors, and a variety of other businesses across Alberta. We are seeking a skilled Material Handler - Heavy Duty Equipment Operator for our Edmonton, AB yard.
Job Summary
- Deliver exceptional customer service to drivers, suppliers, and customers, ensuring a positive site experience.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, trailers, and rail cars. Operate a range of heavy-duty mobile equipment such as material handlers, loaders, rock trucks and/or excavator w/ shear attachment.
- Sort, grade, and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals in line with quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment at all times.
- Adhere to environmental, health and safety, and operational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Identify, report, and assist in addressing hazards, incidents, and unsafe work practices.
- Support general yard operations and undertake additional duties as required to meet business needs.
