Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic,independently owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and assisting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring cleanliness.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records using dental software,ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle any necessary follow-up communications.
- Support the front office with reception duties when needed, including greeting patients and answering phone calls.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices in dental assisting.
Qualifications
Up to date Levell ll Registered Dental Assistant Certificate
- Previous experience in dental assisting in general practice;scaling modul a plus.
- New Grads with a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual and committed to excellence.
- Eager to Lean: Willingness to grow and develop new skills.
- Certification in dental assisting and relevant training is mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Power Practice is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with I-tero scanner is an advantage but not required.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
