As a Territory Manager for The Home Depot Canada stores in the Greater Toronto Area, you will establish strong relationships with key Home Depot store staff, and demonstrate your industry expertise to develop sales results for PPG.
Are you looking to build relationships with DIY customers and Professional contractors, and other end-users of PPG paints and stains to drive top line sales growth? If so, then this role is for you!
Partner with Home Depot store management teams and associates to drive sales growth plans for PPG. Plan and conduct weekend and after hours customer clinics in Home Depot stores. Analyze territory sales performance reports and develop strategic territory business plans to drive growth. Monitor and report on market and competitive activities.
Build brand advocates by delivering training on DIY and Pro products to The Home Depot sales associates. Participate in all Major Market Training and road show events as scheduled.
Engage all customers with their painting projects and PPG product support throughout the store, especially within the paint and pro desk areas.
Utilizing PPG’s CRM (ClientLink), you will drive sales growth of the PRO customers list of accounts in your territory by prospecting and forming new relationships with customers in person or over the phone, generating leads, and closing sales.
Ensure automatic replenishment system is supplying sufficient product to support rate of sale, and on-hand inventory counts are accurate by performing cycle counts.
Aggressively identify in-store selling opportunities to secure wing stacks, bulk stacks, end caps, and stack outs to create impactful cross-merchandised product displays. Report on merchandising of colour centres, and ensure execution of sales aides and Point of Purchase materials for all PPG paint and stain brands by third party merchandising company.
Work cross-functionally with all PPG departments (Account Team, Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Customer Service, and Tech Services) to exceed sales goals.
High School diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Proven results in selling and relationship building with store operations and contractor segment sales preferred.
Home Centre, or Coatings experience is highly desirable
Experience with store operations, inventory management and merchandising preferred.
Self-directed/motivated and drive for sales results required.
Solid computer skills, time management/prioritization skills, strong oral and written presentation skills.
Ability to work a 37.5-hour workweek, which could include some weekends throughout the year.
90% travel in territory and some outside travel required throughout the year, to assist in other territories.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 10 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
