Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Familiarity with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, along with experience in orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Assist the dentist during various treatments, including orthodontic and pediatric cases.
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining strict infection control protocols.
- Take digital impressions using CAD technology when necessary.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix.
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, ensuring they understand care procedures.
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, especially with Orthodontics or Restorative
- Proficiency in dental software applications like Tracker is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry enhances patient communication.
- Experience with CAD systems for digital impressions is a plus.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or related training is required or strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with dental reception duties and managing patient interactions is advantageous.
