Experienced Exterior Painter — Contract | Tmattos Services | GTA
We are a multi-trade contractor serving the GTA looking for an experienced exterior painter who takes prep seriously and works at a professional pace. If you need to be told to scrape before you prime you are not the right fit.
What the work involves:
Full surface prep: scraping, sanding, filling, caulking, priming, done right and done fast
Exterior painting of trim, fascia, soffit, eaves, doors and decks
Deck staining and clear coat application
Working safely at heights with ladders and scaffolding
Keeping job sites clean and professional throughout
What we require:
Minimum 2 years exterior painting experience
Must be fast and efficient, we work on production pace, not hourly comfort
Strong prep skills are non-negotiable, this is where we judge quality
Portfolio photos of previous exterior work, mandatory, no exceptions
1 reference from a contractor or homeowner in the last 12 months, we call every single one
Reliable transportation across the GTA
Own basic tools: brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking gun
Proof of registered company in Canada required before contract is signed
Hiring process:
All shortlisted candidates complete a paid 2 hour skills trial on a real job site before any contract is signed. You will be evaluated on prep speed and quality, cutting in, rolling technique, site cleanliness and professionalism. No trial, no hire.
