Under the direction of the Supervisor, Janitorial Services, the Janitor provides complete janitorial services at the Abbotsford or Canada Education Park (CEP) campus as assigned. Duties include maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of the interior of the University. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining security of buildings, locking and unlocking the buildings and classrooms as necessary, moving furniture and equipment as required, and removing litter and snow from the exterior walkways as required. Shift work applies.
Building Service Worker Certificate is mandatory; and up to one year of related experience, together with some knowledge of commercial equipment and procedures used for stripping and waxing floors required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All janitorial staff will be required to wear a UFV uniform.
