Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team at Black Diamond Dairy Queen. This is a long term, hands on role, ensuring smooth daily operations, leading staff, and delivering excellent customer service. The Assistant Manager will play a key part in upholding our commitment to quality and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards, working alongside crew members while also handling management tasks.
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales and service goals.
- Assist in staff training, and development, managing shift operations and workflow.
- Assisting with inventory and ordering.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Promote a positive work environment aligned with company values.
- Opening and closing the restaurant.
- Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance needs.
- Handling cash and till reconciliation, monitoring labour costs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising or managing retail or food service teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Prior experience in training & development is advantageous. Willing to train the right candidate. Candidates must be available evenings and weekends. Must be local to Diamond Valley and area.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
