Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and multi-residential construction projects from planning through completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring quality standards and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Mentor and supervise junior project staff and site personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial or multi-residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP or Gold Seal certification is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence required.
- Experience working in Atlantic Canada is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
