Job Overview
Amber is seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. The Server will play a vital role in delivering memorable hospitality experiences while maintaining efficient restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly by responding to requests courteously and professionally
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations in the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, change calculation, and order accuracy
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen support is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and upselling techniques
