Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients about our products, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to handle retail transactions efficiently. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail or hospitality are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and other cannabis products, ensuring compliance with legal regulations
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, sales processing, and inventory management
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store is clean, welcoming, and well-stocked
- Manage inventory levels through proper filing and stock rotation techniques
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide product recommendations based on customer inquiries using strong communication skills
- Support store operations by assisting with basic computer tasks such as filing, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Word
- Uphold safety protocols, including heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or display setup
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or a customer service environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, and basic math skills required
- Multilingual abilities (English plus French or other languages) are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers confidently and professionally
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when required for stock movement or display arrangements
- Demonstrated leadership qualities or experience in team settings is advantageous for supporting store operations
