This position involves set up and operation of CNC lathe machines to prescribed tolerances.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Responsible for setup and operation of large CNC Lathe machines with live tooling
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, tables and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes, etc.
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience, consisting of machine setup & operation
- Minimum 2 years CNC Lathe set up and operation with live tooling
- Ability to read and understand programs to a degree that will allow you to modify / edit programs.
- General machinist certification an asset.
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints, drawings, charts & tables.
- Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
