We’re Hiring: ROCK STAR Dental Receptionist!

This position requires strong administrative skills, knowledge of dental terminology, and the ability to supervise staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- Appointment Scheduling: Book, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments efficiently.
- Patient Communication: Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet patients with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient charts, health histories, and treatment notes (digitally).
- Billing & Insurance: Process payments, submit insurance claims, handle pre-authorizations, enter payment received and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Accounts Receivable: Track and collect payments, manage aging reports, and communicate with patients about financial obligations.
- Daily Financial Reconciliation: Balance the day’s transactions and prepare deposits.
- Treatment Coordination: Explain treatment plans, coordinate multi-appointment procedures, and discuss financial options with patients.
- Reporting & Metrics: Generate reports for production, collections, patient flow, etc., to support office goals.
- Office Systems Oversight: Manage Abeldent and troubleshoot tech hiccups.
- Reception Area Management: Keep the front desk organized, welcoming, and running smoothly.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a communication bridge between patients, dentists, hygienists, and assistants.
- Patient Engagement: Support promotions, send out appointment reminders, newsletters, and online reviews follow-up.
- Compliance & Privacy: Ensure PIPEDA and infection control documentation is up-to-date and adhered to.
- Inventory Coordination (sometimes): Monitor front desk and clinical supplies and reorder when needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential.
- Knowledge of dental terminology is highly desirable to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
