Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Civil Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting various civil engineering projects, including site preparation, infrastructure development, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment essential for civil construction activities. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the oil & gas industry and other heavy infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and leveling ground surfaces
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools for construction tasks, including digging, lifting, and assembly
- Perform rigging tasks to secure loads during lifting operations
- Support welding activities as needed for structural repairs or installations
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures and wearing protective gear at all times
- Assist with the operation of mechanical equipment to facilitate project progress
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience with heavy equipment operation work is preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding, and forklift operation is highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation or safety standards are advantageous
This role is vital for the successful completion of civil projects requiring skilled laborers capable of handling diverse tasks with professionalism and safety consciousness.
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
