Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role involves greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements to enhance the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Assist with guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and courteously
- Support the restaurant staff by providing accurate wait times and managing guest flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred
- Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Demonstrated hospitality skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
