Greenfield Construction Ltd. is currently seeking Skilled Construction Labourers to join our team in the Chin Lake Reservoir Area (Alberta), 10km south of Taber, Alberta for a multi-year project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant heavy civil infrastructure project with a company that values safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
As a Skilled Construction Labourer, you will assist with a variety of heavy civil construction activities, including:
- Installation of erosion control and geotextile products
- Installation of pipe, culverts, and drainage systems
- General site preparation and cleanup
- Concrete placement, finishing, and curing support
- Formwork assembly, stripping, and material handling
- Safe use of hand and power tools
- Working around heavy equipment in an active construction environment
- Following all company and client safety requirements
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a construction labourer on heavy civil, earthworks, dam, reservoir, road, bridge, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Commitment to working safely at all times
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Valid Driver's Licence (preferred)
- Reliable transportation to and from the project
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following is considered an asset:
- Concrete construction
- Earthworks and grading
- Pipe installation
- Compaction and backfilling
- Working around GPS-controlled heavy equipment
- Rigging and signal person duties
- Valid safety certifications considered an asset
