Who we need
Reporting to the Director, FP&A, we are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team. You will prepare accurate budgets, forecasts, and performance reports while monitoring financial results against targets. You will partner with the business to provide in-depth analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and offer actionable insights to support decision-making, continuously improving financial models and driving process enhancements.
This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days a week on-site in Brampton, ON.

How you will make an impact:

Provide financial insights. You will be critical in providing reporting and analytics to guide the company’s financial management. You will develop and optimize financial models, reporting templates, and tools to streamline and enhance efficiency in daily and monthly tasks.

Analytical storytelling. Leveraging PowerBI, you will translate complex financial data into meaningful, actionable insights and present these findings - identifying risks and opportunities through the data - to the business.

Budgeting and forecasting. You will play a key role in annual budgeting, working with stakeholders to build departmental budgets, drive initiatives, and provide business recommendations.

Month-end reporting. You will consolidate month-end results into a PowerPoint deck and build the framework for reporting monthly results with clear commentary. You will prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with sales, operations, and HR teams to analyze SG&A expenses and support decision-making across functions. You will analyze gross margins and inventory trends, supporting costing and inventory teams with consolidated reporting.

Sales reporting and commissions. You will generate and analyze monthly sales reports, including rebates and commission payouts. You will provide commentary on key performance drivers versus budget, prior year, and latest estimates.

You have experience analyzing financial data and generating insights that tell the financial story of a business in ways stakeholders can digest and action. You know how to translate findings to create a clear understanding of the business’s financial position. You are comfortable navigating the unknown, creating improvements and saving time.

The knowledge. You have experience in P&L and costing. You can dive deep to understand risks and opportunities in the analysis results and forecasted numbers. You have the initiative and the knowledge to identify areas to streamline processes and build standardized reporting. Ideally, you are a CPA candidate with a clear vision of how you will grow your career in finance.

The technical skills. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You have experience with financial tools and reporting systems. You have used data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik and can take our reporting and cost tracking to the next level. You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

The interpersonal skills. You have professional written and verbal skills and believe in empowering the business with clear communication. You can build trusting and influential relationships across all teams. You are prepared to grow into a role where you will be presenting findings to the senior leadership. You have a deep appreciation for diverse experiences and approaches.
