Overview
We are seeking experienced Shinglers to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in roofing installation and repair, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace roofing shingles on residential buildings
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives efficiently and safely
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment as needed
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shingler or in a similar roofing role with a strong understanding of roofing systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry, caulking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Construction or handyman experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to roofing and construction sites
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
