As an Instrumentation Technologist at Sirius Controls, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting chemical pumps and controllers. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our chemical injection systems. This position requires a highly technical individual who can work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use electronic testing devices to inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
- Install, configure, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation and control equipment including, pumps, valves, transmitters, solar power packs etc.
- Read manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and quality control specifications for assembly procedures.
- Assemble pumps, tubing, battery boxes, batteries, attaching hardware, switches, or other parts.
- Complete all production and quality control documentation.
- Collaborate with technical and production teams to optimize system performance and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Document and report all service, installation, and calibration activities.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of control systems.
- Provide technical support to the field service team and customers as required.
- Participate in training and development programs.
Qualifications:
- 2 year diploma in instrumentation technology
- 2 to 4 years of instrumentation hands-on experience.
- Computer skills: Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license
