Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthodontic Hygienist to join our Orthodontic practice for Thursdays and Saturdays.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with orthodontic procedures, and supporting the dental team's overall efficiency.
The Orthodontic Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort, education, and treatment success.
Must be able to work at a fast pace in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform procedures such as bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance management
- Perform dental cleanings and periodontal checks tailored to orthodontic patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic devices and appliances
- Take and develop dental radiographs and iTero Scan as needed for orthodontic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Orthodontic management software.
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and explaining treatment plans clearly.
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication techniques.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
- Experience with Dolphin or other orthodontic software preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and appliances is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to communicate with diverse patient populations effectively.
- An Orthodontic Hygienist course is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
