Purpose:
The Community and Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP) is a student legal aid society based at Osgoode Hall Law School and one of several clinical programs offered at Osgoode. CLASP provides legal advice, representation and public legal education for low income and culturally diverse communities. CLASP works collaboratively with several local organizations on community development and law reform initiatives. As a law school clinic that engages many student volunteers and which includes a 15-credit clinical program for division leaders, CLASP serves a dual mandate of service to the community and the education of law students.Under the direction of the Director, CLASP, the Administrative Secretary provides frontline administrative support to the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP) at Osgoode. This includes providing support to the Director, Review Counsel and Students. The Administrative Secretary will be responsible for fulfilling all administrative functions to support the clinic's operations.
Education:
High School graduation with completion of secretarial training at a community college level.
Experience:
Two (2) years recent related experience providing administrative support in a legal environment or legal aid clinic is required. Experience in front-line academic student environment would be preferred.

Intermediate skills are required in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPerfect, Microsoft Teams, Zoom.
Proficiency and experience working with a variety of systems and databases (e.g. CLIO) is an asset.
