Pledge Transport Inc. is looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Highway Driver to join our growing transportation team.
We are looking for a driver who takes pride in their work, communicates well with dispatch and customers, and understands the importance of safe and on-time deliveries. This position is suited for someone comfortable with highway driving and being on the road for extended trips.
Compensation
- $0.55 per kilometre

Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely and professionally on highway routes
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries on time
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and Hours of Service records
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and the tracking team regarding pickup, delivery and route updates
- Secure and protect freight throughout transportation
- Complete required paperwork and proof-of-delivery documentation
- Report delays, mechanical concerns or service issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and professional truck
- Represent Pledge Transport Inc. professionally when dealing with customers, warehouses and receiving facilities
- Follow all company policies and applicable transportation and safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Highway driving experience preferred
- Clean or acceptable driver's abstract
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service regulations
- Comfortable using electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Able to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with dispatch
- Professional attitude when dealing with customers and facilities
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
