Job Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Quality Engineer with a P. Eng designation or EIT. The role involves ensuring our products meet top quality standards through thorough testing, inspection, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct product inspections and tests at various production stages.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to address quality issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality control processes.
- Participate in the development and review of product specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality control.
- Participate and coordinate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Participate and coordinate the Team Oriented Problem Solving (corrective and preventive actions)
- Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions, including preparation of Process flow, Control plan and PFMEA, within specified timeframe
- Coordinate project activities with other department's personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation. Or EIT
- Proven experience in a quality control role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean).
- Proficiency with quality control software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
